Practise this daily. Make it fun. Time them and reward them if they manage to improve their time. 4.      Do the same with the Number Recognition homework card. 5.      Match letters with the pictures of all sounds learnt so far. Read the sentences on the cards. 6.      Printing Book 1 – practice letter formation for /o/ Page 15. **Grade 1W must please bring library books to school tomorrow for library lesson. *Religious studies tomorrow.  Remember folders. Jewish boys must wear a kippa.
Wednesday	OUTING TO EXHIBITION ABOUT EGYPTIAN PHAROAH KING TUTANKHAMUN.   **Read newsletter on the last Wednesday of every month. This is on the school website. You can request a hardcopy at Reception from Nellie. 1.      CEA: Connecting Events- Build on what you know to help you learn more. For example, if you want to eat healthily, don’t buy sweets and cakes. If you have them in the house you can’t resist. So you’ve learnt to not buy them. Or, be careful with matches; if you’re not you could start a fire. Or we have to know our numbers so we add and take away. Basically…learn from past experience and build on, in order to learn new things.

What is the value of learning certain things at school? Even if you don’t enjoy them they are important for a reason. For example, you have to learn sounds which are boring…….but then you can learn to read which is amazing. Or, if you have a daily chore at home, for example, taking out the rubbish every day, the value of doing this is that you help your family to live in a clean, healthy house.
