1. Please send pictures of things that begin with the letter /e/ as
in egg/elephant. Use Google or
pictures in magazines to find the pictures. Please send a maximum of 6
pictures that will fit on an A4 page. Please do this with your child, not for
him. He should be able to identify the pictures.
2. Please send an
object that begins with the letter /e/ as in egg.
It will be sent home on Friday.
3. New sight words: dad, mom, he, the. Try to make up games to help your
child remember words.
4. Worksheet on /e/ sound. Write the initial sound in each box. Read the
sentences daily. Parent cut out each card. Use with alphabet sorting cards
daily. See instructions on the worksheet.
5. Match letters with the pictures of all sounds learnt so far.
6. PT tomorrow.

Tuesday

1.
Sight words: Revision
2.
Recognition of numbers
and number words: 1 -5.
3.
Spatial Awareness homework card: Children read the arrows on each line, aloud, from left
to right, saying: eg, up, down, left, right. Practise this daily. Make it
fun. Time them and reward them if they manage to improve their time.
4.
Do the same with the Number
Recognition homework card.
5. Match letters with the pictures of all sounds learnt so far. Read the
sentences on the cards.
6. Printing Book 1 – practice letter formation for /e/ Pages13 and
20.
**Grade 1W must please bring library
books to school tomorrow for library lesson.
*Religious studies tomorrow. Remember folders. Jewish boys must wear a kippa.

Wednesday
|
1. Revise sight words.
2. Match letters with the pictures of all sounds learnt so far. Read the
sentences on the cards.
3. CEA: Feeling of Competence. (Week 1). When you feel good about
doing something, and can do it well, it gives you a Feeling of Competence.
This can be about sport, eg, if you are a good soccer player; or about your
work at school, eg, you are good at recognising numbers and adding and
subtracting and you get your sums correct; or you may be good at ballet or
Karate; One must remember that you have to work hard or practise a lot to
develop a Feeling of Competence……you can’t be good at something if you don’t
put in a lot of time and hard work. Write notes and do drawings.
4. PT tomorrow.
**Read
newsletter on the last Wednesday of every month. This is on the school
website. You can request a hardcopy at Reception from Nellie.

Thursday.
